My name is Jaime Kamel and let me tell you a bit about me before the school year begins. I am the mother of four: an eight year old, Laura; a ten year old, Peter; a fifteen year old step-son, Jake; and a seventeen year old step-son, Sam. My husband and I just celebrated twelve years of marriage and fourteen years together. However, my family is not complete until I mention my five year old miniature schnauzer, Sophie.
This is going to be my sixteenth year working at Central. I love working here and have enjoyed teaching many grade levels. I have been working at Central since graduating from Keene State College in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in English. Over the years I have worked as a grant size reduction teacher, second, third and fourth grade classroom teacher. After finishing my Experienced Educator’s Master’s degree with an Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate, I worked as a special education teacher for the (kindergarten, first and second grade) Intensive Needs Program. All of these years have been special to me and each year brings a new group of students that further invigorate my love for teaching.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this year enjoyable and successful. We will be working hard on numerous subjects. It is my hope that I can count on you to work with your child on any homework assignments that he/she may bring home. We will have a lot to cover, but I will make their learning experience as fun as possible.
